a) Studio dei meccanismi ormonali e neurochimici che controllano la sfera emozionale e affettiva.
b) Sviluppo di nuovi farmaci ansiolitici, anticonvulsivanti ed anestetici generali.
c) Sviluppo di nuove molecole stimolanti la sintesi di steroidi.
d) Studio delle variazioni strutturali e funzionali dei recettori GABAA dagli invertebrati al cervello dell'uomo.
